Ophthalmology

The Department of Ophthalmology at St. Stephen’s Hospital is driven by a single purpose: to protect and preserve sight. Our experienced team provides comprehensive eye care for patients of all ages from routine vision checks and spectacle prescriptions to the diagnosis and treatment of cataract, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, and other sight-threatening conditions.

Much of avoidable blindness in India is exactly that  avoidable, with timely detection and treatment. Diabetic eye disease and glaucoma in particular can progress silently until sight is already lost. Our emphasis is on regular screening for those at risk, prompt treatment when it counts, and clear guidance so patients understand how to protect their vision for the long term.
