WHY CHOOSE US

As the oldest and one of the largest private hospitals in Delhi, St. Stephen's Hospital has been a trusted landmark of healthcare excellence since 1885.

With a capacity of over 500 beds, this superspeciality tertiary care hospital offers comprehensive treatment across all specialities and major sub-specialities.

Guided by our motto, “In Love Serve One Another,” St. Stephen’s Hospital has become an integral part of the lives of the people of Delhi, earning their trust through compassionate and quality care.

We understand healthcare and the importance of an ethical, scientific-minded, evidence-based approach to treatment to provide you with the best possible care. The hospital is equipped with modern imaging modalities, operation theatres, ICUs, and laboratories providing 24-hour emergency services.

Apart from treating patients, the hospital runs training programmes for doctors in various speciality and super-speciality courses affiliated with the National Board of Examinations and recognized by the Medical Council of India.

Many young aspirants are trained by the St Stephen’s College of Nursing in B.Sc. Nursing, General Nursing and Midwifery and Basic Post B.Sc. and M.Sc. Nursing degree programmes. We also run a wide range of Allied Health Profession (AHP) courses.

The St. Stephen's
Hospital Society

The St. Stephen’s Hospital Society is a constituent part of the Church of North India. It is a registered body, functioning under the Societies Registration Act and governed by its own constitution. The Bishop of the Delhi Diocese of the Church of North India is the ex-officio Chairman of the Society.

The Society runs the hospital as a charitable organisation, in the true spirit of Christian service, ideals and principles – reinvesting in care, capacity and the communities it serves rather than distributing profit.

A Christian institution in name, content and character

St. Stephen’s Hospital is a Christian institution in name, content and character. Its purpose is to care for the sick and suffering – irrespective of caste, creed, race or language, with the love and compassion taught by Jesus Christ. That principle has guided every decision the hospital has taken for more than 140 years.

How the hospital is run?

Day-to-day management is led by the Director, supported by deputy and medical-superintendent roles, nursing leadership, finance, and administrative heads across the hospital. Together they translate the Society’s mission into safe, ethical, affordable care at the bedside.
