Dr. Mathew Varghese is a distinguished orthopaedic surgeon and an alumnus of Maulana Azad Medical College, working in injury prevention and trauma care with a vision to reduce the impact of musculoskeletal disability, especially among children. A long-serving teacher and NBE faculty member, he is widely admired for his lifelong dedication to polio eradication in India.
